Beauty as Science

Top priority is given to research and development. Always seeking to offer the best possible  solutions, new active substances are constantly studied in the company‘s in-house laboratories to enable even more effective products and individual solutions to be made available.

To achieve this, knowledge drawn from the fields of medicine, dermatology and beauty surgery is combined with traditional systems of action.

The effectiveness and tolerability of each product are studied in dermatological tests to offer partners and users maximum safety. The objective is perfect harmony between research, effect and the application ritual.

Research and Development

JEAN D'ARCEL’s intensive research, development and quality assurance is of great importance while working closely with research institutions and independent institutions of Dermatology and Microbiology combined.
In 1996, a new building was constructed with the latest technology for the production of cosmetic products following the requirements of the valid European cosmetics Regulation (GMP – Good Manufacturing Practices)
Customers expect us to identify new trends and implement them quickly, both in newer products as well as in individual treatment methods. Therein lies an essential element for the future of the company.
Before a product is available for sale, all new raw materials, new packaging and new recipes are put through an  intensive test program for the safety of our customers. The careful selection of raw materials, as well as their gentle processing, is the basis for the high degree of compatibility of the JEAN D'ARCEL products.

Production

In our modern production, we manufacture according to GMP guidelines and thus provide a high degree of security for exceptionally high quality products.
We document the entire production history of each product from the receiving to the delivery of goods in accordance with the 7th  Amendment of the EU Cosmetics Directive INCL Declaration, regarding safety assessment, toxicological reports and so forth.

JEAN D’ARCEL is a member of the IKW which is an industry association for personal care products in Europe.  As with food, it would be natural for one to assume that the ingredients that goes into personal care products are safe, legal, non-toxic and the like.  However this is not the case.  However, by being a member of the IKW, all Jean D’Arcel product ingredients  are scrutinized under this organization ensuring that all products are safe and fall under the legal regulations regarding the use of ingredients within the  European Cosmetic Products industry.

Quality assurance

A final inspection in our modern equipped laboratory is a permanent in-house practice to guarantee quality assurance at the highest level.
